WHY
At T39 Football Academy, our mission is to bring high-quality football coaching to players in rural and regional areas where access to elite training is often limited. By delivering additional sessions in country locations, we aim to create equal opportunities for players to develop their skills, build confidence, and reach their full potential regardless of where they live.
WHAT
T39 Football Academy provides specialised training focused on developing technically strong, intelligent, and well-rounded players. With an emphasis on technical excellence, we help players become confident and skilful while also improving game IQ, decision-making, and understanding of the game. Sessions are delivered with high energy and intensity, while also building the physical foundations required for the modern game.
HOW
Through structured sessions, small group coaching, and ongoing mentorship, players are supported to improve at their own pace in a positive and encouraging environment. Head Coach and Owner Nick Hegarty brings experience as both a professional player and coach, delivering engaging, high-quality sessions that combine technical development, game-based learning, and physical preparation to maximise each player’s growth.

Nick Hegarty is a former professional footballer and experienced coach, known for his energy, work ethic, and strong understanding of the modern game. Born in England and now an Australian citizen, Hegarty developed through professional club systems and built a career playing at a high level, gaining valuable experience across competitive environments in both the mens, womens, and youth development.
UEFA and AFC ‘A’ Licensed coach, he has established an impressive coaching résumé, including being a two-time NPL Gold Medal winner, NPL Head Coach of the Year, and a Dockerty Cup-winning coach. Transitioning into coaching, Hegarty combines his playing background with a high-intensity, hands-on approach to player development.
As Head Coach and Owner of T39 Football Academy, he is passionate about developing technically strong, intelligent players who understand the physical and mental demands of the game. Committed to creating opportunities in rural and regional areas, Hegarty uses his experience and expertise to help shape the next generation of footballers.
